Red Beach is a small cove of reddish sand west of Matala, reached by a short cliff path. Quieter and more naturist-friendly than the main Matala bay — bring water and sturdy shoes.
How to get there
Park/stay in Matala, then walk the signed cliff path (~20–25 minutes). Not suitable for pushchairs or mobility issues.
Best time to visit
May–October mornings. Midday heat on the exposed path is harsh in August.
