The aviation authority publishes information for Sitia Airport as well as Heraklion. Compare the flights available for your dates with the onward road journey. Do not assume that an airport arrival establishes rental collection or an after-hours handover.

An Elounda and Plaka day belongs to a different route from Sitia and Vai. Choose the stops around your base and leave room for the return. For a south-coast stay, check the actual roads to Ierapetra and your accommodation.
