Georgioupoli has a sandy shore beside its coastal village and the Almyros river. The municipality describes eucalyptus trees in the settlement; this is not a separate officially identified palm beach. Beach sections towards hotels and neighbouring settlements need their own meeting points. Kalyvaki is a distinct nearby beach, not an interchangeable name for every part of the coast.
Sources and access information
How to get there
Follow directions to Georgioupoli and your selected beach entrance or hotel. For public transport, verify the current stop and the final walk rather than assuming a main-road stop is on the sand. Keep the river mouth and harbour approach distinct from a chosen swimming area.
When to plan your visit
Check wind, beach flags and local guidance for the exact section. If visiting the Agios Nikolaos chapel, assess the causeway conditions separately; a beach visit does not establish safe access over it.
Facilities to check
- Village food and accommodation options
- Beach services vary along the coast
- Confirm the accessible entrance and toilets at your section

Frequently asked questions
Is there a separate Palm Beach here?+
The official municipal description identifies Georgioupoli beach and eucalyptus trees, not a distinct palm beach. Use Georgioupoli and an exact entrance.
Is Kalyvaki the same beach?+
No. The municipality identifies it separately near Exopoli and the rivers. Check which shore your accommodation or meeting point actually serves.
Can I always walk to the chapel?+
No assurance is made. Check waves and local advice for the causeway independently of conditions at your beach entrance.
