Knossos and Heraklion’s museum

Check each attraction’s current ticket options and opening notices. Do not assume that an old combined museum-and-palace ticket is still sold or that every guided excursion includes admission. For public transport, establish the current boarding stop and return service rather than relying only on a remembered bus number.

Archanes, Peza or Dafnes

A village visit and a booked winery appointment can form a more focused inland day. Choose the actual producer and address, since the wine districts are separate areas. Ask about tasting language, duration, food and the price for your party.

Use the Cretan wine guide and arrange a non-drinking driver or other transport. Adding Knossos is optional; only do so if the booked times leave enough room for both visits and the road journey.

Phaistos and the south coast

Agios Nikolaos, Elounda and Spinalonga
